Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery
Ophthalmic plastic surgery is a subspecialty of ophthalmology that deals with cosmetic, plastic,
and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows, forehead, face and cheeks, tear duct system,
and sockets. Ophthalmic plastic surgeons are ophthalmologists who, after completing extensive
training as eye physicians and surgeons, undergo formal post-residency training in plastic
surgery.
